Best Christmas Ever!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! We are so blessed to have wonderful family and friends to be with us at this beautiful time of remembering our Savior and celebrating his birth. Last weekend we had a fun time with the Brown side of the family eating yummy food, making gingerbread houses and playing all kinds of fun games all day.

Then on Christmas eve we decided to have brunch with a bunch of our good friends. But first Tua got to go play basketball, and I got to go to Muay Thai(Great Christmas presents to each other). We figured we needed to burn off some calories to try and justify the crazy eating we were about to embark upon. Then the eating began, waffles, egg cassorole, hashbrowns, apple fruity goodness, fruits, and so much more. Thanks Atuaias, Blackwells, Ka'aumoanas, Lopez and Readings. Good good eats and great company. There was so much food that I am sure my workout didn't do anything to compete with the amount of food I ate. But it was so good!

That night we had dinner with Grandma Tammy and Todd and his family. Salani's sister Erlene and her cute kids joined us as well. Our Toiaivao family tradition for Christmas Eve dinner has become Pizza and Fried Chicken. Tua's 2 favorite foods. Throw in plenty of soda and potato salad and we were set. If you went away hungry then it was your own fault. The kids decorated Christmas cookies for Santa with more candy and sprinkles than i ever thought could fit on a single cookie. So cute.

Afterwards Grandma Tammy and I had some last minute gift to pick up. Oh and for future reference most stores close between 6 and 8 the only store open all night on Christmas eve is Walgreen's. So off we went -twice, got all that we needed and made it home by midnight. Thanks mom! And Tua actually helped me wrap and get ready for the morning. Thanks hon!

Christmas morning came and the kids were so excited. Elizabeth tried to get up at about 5am but i quickly made her go back to bed until 7:30am. When we finally got Tua out of bed the craziness began. We are definitely blessed and very loved because we got way more that anyone ever needs. It was a blast watching the kids get so excited about giving to each other and getting their new things. Then we got to hang out and play the rest of the afternoon. Cleaning up the wrapping paper was a breeze, or should i say a blaze. We have a fireplace and Grandma Tammy is a bit of a Pyro. All the paper was burned and she had a great time. The kids were pretty intrigued as well, trying to find more paper for her to burn and then running outside to watch the smoke come out the chimney. Pretty amusing watching them all play with fire. Good thing I was there to be the adult supervisor.

That night we went over to our friends the Atuaia's for dinner and to watch some sports on their new HD TV and let the kids play. Tua was in Heaven being able to watch sports for hours and we got to play some fun games with everyone there. We stayed a little too late, but they are so gracious and didn't kick us out until the basketball game was over. Merry Christmas to Tua on that kindness, and thanks Atuaia's for a great night!

All in all it turned out to be our best Christmas ever. We were able to be with Family and friends and feel the love of all of them and especially the loving spirit of our Savior. How could it get any better?
